Veneers

Porcelain Veneers are thin ceramic shells created to fit perfectly onto the front of your tooth. They can be a beautiful way to restore a broken tooth or to change the shape of a healthy one. Veneers can also be made of a composite material.

How veneers could improve your smile

If you feel one or more of your teeth are too small, or you have gaps you would like to close then teeth veneers may be a way to change this. The colour, shape and size of your teeth can all be changed with veneers.

How we complete Veneers

Sometimes a small part of the tooth has to be shaped to make room for the porcelain veneer to be fitted, while at other times the whole healthy tooth can be left underneath and the veneer fixed on top. At our practice we make veneers in 2 different ways.

1 We will send impressions of your teeth to a technician, along with photos and in discussion with us he will create your veneer in his lab. These will then be fitted by us a couple of weeks later at the surgery

2 We can take a digital scan and create your veneer onsite in a single appointment with our CEREC machine.

The best option for you will depend on the type and number of veneers you may be having fitted, as well as your personal preferences. We will discuss with you what the best option will be for you.

FAQ’s

Can I change the colour of my teeth with veneers?

Because veneers are placed over the tooth they can change the colour of your teeth, as well as the shape. If it is only the colour of your tooth you want to change there will be other options too.
