Expert Tooth Replacement Solutions

Dental bridges are an excellent way of replacing one or two missing teeth using the support of the teeth on either side of the gap. Gaps can age us and make us appear less healthy or attractive, so filling these spaces with a natural-looking bridge can complete your smile and restore your confidence. At No 9 Dental Practice, we create custom bridges that blend seamlessly with your natural teeth, ensuring an incredibly natural result that you'll be proud to show off.

Advanced Treatment Options

Our experienced team uses the latest techniques to create your perfect dental bridges. We take precise impressions of your gap to create custom-fitted tooth replacement solutions that match your natural teeth in both colour and shape. In some cases, we can even create your bridge in a single appointment using our CEREC machine, whilst more complex cases may require work with our skilled technician over two or three weeks. Throughout the process, we always provide temporary bridges so you'll never have time with a visible gap during treatment.

Looking to replace some missing teeth?

Dental Bridges are a way of replacing missing teeth, using the support of the teeth on either side of the gap. They are made in a similar way to dental crowns. If you have a gap, particularly one or two teeth then dental bridges can be a great solution.

Gaps can age us, as well as making us look less healthy or attractive, so to fill these with a natural-looking bridge can complete a smile to make us look younger, healthier, and more confident. If you are concerned about a gap in your teeth, then book an appointment with No 9 Dental Practice in Uphall and we’ll take care of it for you.

How we complete the treatment

We will take an impression of your gap to create a natural, custom fitting bridge. Sometimes the teeth on either side will need to be prepared to support the bridge, while other times the bridge can be attached to the tooth as it is. This impression will either be sent to our technician to create your bridge, or we may be able to make it in a single appointment onsite with our CEREC machine.

Dental bridges FAQs

Will my teeth be damaged when I whiten them?

If you follow the instructions we give you there will be no damage at all to the structure of your teeth. In fact, the peroxide has the added advantage of killing many of the bugs in your mouth which can lead to gum damage and decay. Your mouth, if anything, should be healthier after whitening treatment.

How long will it take?

We will usually prepare your teeth on one appointment and then fit your bridge 2 or 3 weeks later. Some smaller bridges we can make in a single appointment. If we are working over 2 appointments, we will always provide you with a temporary bridge. You will not have any time with a gap during treatment.

Will it look natural?

The technician we work with will create an incredibly natural result. If we are making a temporary one for you we will discuss the shape and colour, to help us understand how you would like the tooth to look. We will send photos of this to our technician and will often chat to him on the phone, so he can work to the same outcome.

Frequently Asked Questions About Dental Bridges

Are dental bridges a suitable tooth replacement option for multiple missing teeth?

  • Dental bridges are particularly effective for replacing one or two missing teeth together, using the support of the teeth on either side of the gap. At No 9 Dental Practice in Uphall, serving Livingston and West Lothian, we create custom-fitted bridges that restore both the appearance and function of your smile. For larger gaps or multiple missing teeth in different areas, we may recommend alternative tooth replacement solutions such as dentures or dental implants, which we can discuss during your consultation.

How are dental bridges fitted at No 9 Dental Practice?

  • We begin by taking a precise impression of your gap to create a natural, custom-fitting bridge. Sometimes the teeth on either side need to be prepared to support the bridge, whilst other times the bridge can be attached to the tooth as it is. Depending on the complexity, we can either make your bridge in a single appointment using our CEREC machine, or send the impression to our skilled technician who will create it over two or three weeks. We always provide a temporary bridge during treatment.

Will my dental bridges look natural?

  • Yes, the technician we work with creates incredibly natural results. We discuss the shape and colour with you and send photos to our technician to ensure your bridge matches your expectations and blends seamlessly with your existing teeth.
